The courage is to face your fears. Be aware of your weaknesses. Be honest in every facet of your life.
See my project born and grow
My profession, travel, music and the men of my life
Candid like a dove, astute like a snake.
I am a journalist with over 13 years of professional experience in communication, publishing and directing fashion and lifestyle magazines.
I completed my Journalism studies at the University of Valencia and I specialized in Fashion Journalism at the “Saint Martins School in London” and I have extended my studies in “Business Management in the Art World” with Sotheby’s in London and in “Digital Marketing in the University of Arts London”.
I have worked as a fashion editor in TELVA and vice director of Vogue Spain. Currently I collaborate for the magazine S MODA.
I started working in magazines for my passion for fashion photography. Art photography was the one that interested me most and this has been lost over the years in publications, which are increasingly commercial products.
Thanks to my profession I have traveled the whole world interviewing great people from the world of fashion, architecture, art or literature and politics. Giorgio Armani, Roberto Cavalli, Rem Koolhaas, Paloma Picasso, Jonathan Anderson, Olafur Eliasson, Riccardo Tisci, Peter Dundas, Elena Foster, Richard Rogers, Juliana Awada …
I am inspired by the ‘great’ women who have surrounded me or who have come through literature, music or art. There is a sentence of Yves Saint Laurent that I carry as the only flag:
“Sans élégance de coeur il n’y a pas d’élégance”.
My greatest achievement is to feel free. Although, as in that phrase that the great journalist Mara Calabuig dedicated to me in a letter written in my own hand, which no one has already sent me, in which I warned that “the intimate independence of everything and everyone is worth any effort” , to achieve that, is my great challenge.
I am an idealistic woman. My biggest dream is to continue feeling free and hopefully always in love, and my professional dream, above all is to undertake my project of the online art gallery. Although my real dream had been to be a singer-songwriter and write poetry. But I do neither of the two things as well as I would like.
I am a passionate person, and my passions are always written in the plural. Above all, my profession, travel, music, reading … and of course the men who have passed through my life, of course. Maybe that has always been my great passion.
I discovered the passion for poetry as a child, but for the rest of genres relatively late, already in my 20´s. I prefer poetry or essay to the novel.
I like short stories and I flee from best sellers, unless they are irrevocable authors. If I had to choose a book it would be ‘The Stranger’ by Albert Camus. I read it years ago, but I remember perfectly the tension that his impassive character generated me. It took me out of my comfort zone as a fatal attraction.
Music has always been part of my life. I play a song every moment, unconsciously.
The minimalism of Phillip Glass, Stravinsky or the baroque of Bach in the hands of Glenn Gould, electronics, jazz, blues, rock, Dylan, Bowie, Nina Simone … the female black voices … I listen to all kinds of music. When I sing, I like to sing jazz or blues.
